Bituumenrullmaterjale on võimalik paigaldada vanale bituumenkattele, müüritistele, betoon- ja tsementpindadele, puitalusele ja mineraalvillast isolatsiooniplaatidele.
SBS ja PVC rullkattega lamekatused on kasutusel põhiliselt suurematel kaubandus- ja tootmishoonetel. Viimasel ajal on suur lamekatuse sektor ka modernses stiilis eramajad. SBS ning PVC katted on erinevad nii materjalide omaduselt kui ka paigaldusmeetodilt. Missugune materjal täpsemalt ühte või teise kohta sobida võiks tuleks arutada läbi nii arhitekti kui katusemeistritega projekti koostamisel, renoveeritava hoone puhul tellijal katusepaigaldajaga lamekatuse ülevaatuse käigus.
